Features
FAVORITE FEATURE: Real CPR Help Technology
Knowing how to operate an AED and administering high-quality CPR have been two different concepts to understand. Until now.
At last, the ZOLL AED Plus is the fully automatic defibrillator that creates a seamless experience for those in a position to save a life – like you.
As soon as you begin administering CPR, you’re never alone. The ZOLL AED Plus is right by your side to actively monitor the CPR you’re performing in real-time, with the help of Real CPR Help technology.
This transformative feature analyzes the chest compression depth and rate, providing real-time feedback through voice prompts.
Set Up
How to set up your new ZOLL AED Plus for service:
- Insert 10 new batteries into your ZOLL AED Plus unit. Tip: You'll need to place batteries in the two outer rows first followed by the last two batteries in the center row.
- When prompted "If new batteries, press the button" press the button located above the center row to start the timer on the new batteries.
- Connect the electrode cable to the ZOLL AED Plus unit and pack sealed electrodes inside the cover. Close cover.
- Turn the ZOLL AED Plus unit on and wait for the “Unit OK” audio message. Verify the unit issues appropriate “Adult Pads” or “Pediatric Pads” audio messages.
- Turn the unit off.
- Wait 2 minutes. Verify that a green check symbol appears in the status indicator window (located on the left side of the handle) and that the unit does not emit a beeping tone.
- Place the ZOLL AED Plus unit in service.
Maintenance
To ensure readiness during emergencies, regular maintenance and management of all AEDs are paramount. Both the electrodes and batteries have a lifespan of five years. It's crucial for someone in your organization to track these lifespans to ensure timely replacements. Your AED also conducts internal self-tests and displays a green check when it's ready for a rescue.
