Air-cooled standby generators utilize a fan to circulate air over the engine block, effectively dissipating heat and minimizing maintenance needs. Generally lighter than liquid-cooled units, they are easier to transport. However, they tend to operate at higher temperatures and produce lower running wattages, making them suitable for residential and light commercial applications in moderate climates.
